In The Guardian, there is a story regarding a Sheffield based student who ran the file sharing site TVShack who could face extradition to US. This is simple. UK judges should be able to prevent the US from using the Extradition Treaty for this type of case. I fail to see how alleged crimes committed on British soil are to be tried in foreign courts. Wasn’t Cameron supposed to do something about this following the McKinnon debacle?
